Portland House A warm welcome awaits you at Portland House, a spacious and comfortable guest house offering quality bed and breakfast accommodation in Keswick. Located in centre of the charming town of Ambleside, in the heart of the beautiful Lake District. The Lakes B and B offers mountain views and is only a 10 minute walk to Waterhead Pier. Guests can enjoy mountain views from rooms which are decorated using natural colours and contemporary furnishings. They come equipped with a flat-screen TV/DVD as well as an en suite bathroom and free Wi-Fi. The b and b is located close to many woodland trails or picturesque walks, some start and finish at the b and b itself. We offer drying facilities and bike storage. Free parking is possible but must be arranged at time of booking due to limited spaces. Motor bikes are welcome and there is free secure parking for both motor bikes and cycles. The generous full English breakfast (or vegetarian option) will set you up for the day, whether walking, climbing or sightseeing, motorbike touring. After the days exertions you can enjoy the attractive rear garden complete with decked seating area. Constructed back in 1880’s, we’re based on the west side of the Lake District, overseen by Black Combe Massif. We offer Bed & Breakfast accommodation within the old servants’ quarters, which you can access by 2 flights of stairs, which comprises of 3 double bedrooms, which all have ensuite bathrooms and have a combination bath / shower, with a twin bedded room ahich twins with a ensuite shower room.
