Rex started Rex Caunt Racing in the late 1980s to prepare race engines for other competitors. He later built electronic ignition systems to his own designs after studying electronics and also designed 2 stroke exhaust systems.
Eventually he settled on BSA Bantams as a business venture supplying many pattern parts through his website.
