About ACU Auto Cycle Bikesport GB Recognised by the Federation Internationale de Motorcyclisme (FIM) The Auto-Cycle Union has become the Governing Body for motorcycle sports throughout Great Britain. Established in 1904. Our main objective is to provide all members of motorcycle sport with enjoyable, safe and competitive days of sporting action. We have over 630 clubs divided into 20 Centres available for all, irrespective of age or ability. We set the rules for the various aspects of the sport. At ACU Auto Cycle Bikesport GB we ensure fair play. We aim to train stewards, marshals and observers to ensure track safety. We check and revise safety standards, which ensure that motorcycle sport is an insurable commodity. We retain a body of medical advisors. We track the progress of national championships and contributes to the wider world of motorcycling that makes international competition happen. We are in constant contact with many Government departments to defend and develop the sport of Motorcycling.
